Lateral Flow Rapid Test Pro is a qualitative test in lateral flow immunoassay format for visual detection, intended for the rapid assessment of protein from allergenic ingredients in samples. It quickly determines whether target proteins are present in food, including unprocessed foods and processed products. Its application also extends to target proteins in swabs.
This kit specifically detects target proteins by using antibodies that are highly specific to the target protein. For food samples (recommended extraction method)
Sample extraction
Grind and mix the food test sample to homogeneity using a contamination-free homogenizer/mixer.
Place 1.0 g of the homogenized sample in a polypropylene tube (L) and add 1 packet of extraction solution
Vortex the capped tube for 30 seconds.
Place the capped tube in water at over 90 °C (194 °F) for 10 minutes.
Place the tube under running water to cool to room temperature
Vortex for 30 seconds.
Stand the tube for a few minutes to allow the sample to settle, then collect the supernatant as the sample extract.
Test solution preparation
Dispense 900 μL of dilution buffer with a pipette (L) into a polypropylene tube (S).
Add 100 μL of sample extract with a pipette (S) to the polypropylene tube (S) containing 900 μL of dilution buffer and mix well. The resulting solution is called the test solution.
Analysis procedures
Place a test strip horizontally and add 200 μL of test solution to the sample application site.
Incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
Interpret the results:
A) Positive: A red-purple line in the test window along with red color in the confirmation window.
B) Negative: No line in the test window along with a red color in the confirmation window.
C) Invalid: No color in the confirmation window.
